No Resolutions. Just Realisations

Amidst all the lights and decadence, in the final weeks of 2025, I found myself craving nothing more than quiet time at home. Space to connect with the people closest to me. Time to do my favourite kind of work: the quiet, solitary, creative kind. Just to be at home, in my own space.
When it finally came, and time began to slow, my mind started to relax. After finishing my client work, it was time to catch up on my long-neglected business admin; laptop open, TV on, exactly how I like it.
Now, this brings me to a brief interlude on my love for Carrie Bradshaw.
Brief because I’m sure you’ve already joined the dots on this one yourself: the fashion, the writing, the girl gang, the aesthetic perfection of a camera panning to Carrie typing through a window.
So, back to the TV and the Lindt chocolates … I was behind my own laptop, watching And Just Like That, Season 3, Episode 10. Hearing the following words spoken by one of my own fictional heroines hit hard, but also felt like balm for the soul.
“Autumn was here and as the leaves turned gold and the air turned crisp the woman returned to herself. Her hours turned into days, days turned into weeks. Her pain turned into productivity. The family that would never inhabit her home or her heart faded from her life, the way the golden leaf faded to brown at her feet. She had done all she could, she had done all she could.”
You see, 2025 was a life-defining year for me. One that left me with no choice but to finally accept a fertility reality that had long frozen me with fear.
In that acceptance, I found peace.
And I decided to be defined by something I could control: my own creative energy. With acceptance comes peace. With creativity comes joy.
The Power of Realisations
As we begin a new chapter, I’m all for the energy that comes with resolutions: the seeking, the manifesting, the intentional pursuit of what we want. After all, it’s that very energy that The Write Field has been built upon.
But in our hyper-focus on resolutions, are we also surrendering with intention?
Are we creating space for the realisations that actually allow the new to begin?
For me, the new is a new way of looking at creativity: as my legacy, my way of giving life. To use my innate maternal instincts to support women, to create space for self-expression, and to lead with love.
It’s a lens that wouldn’t have been possible without making space for the realisations.
And just like that, a new era for The Write Field (and the woman behind it) started to make sense again.

Brand Meets Life Edition
Growth doesn’t always feel motivating. On the days it feels uncomfortable, it’s proof you’re stretching into your next level.
If you’ve got the opportunity to do amazing things, bring others with you.
We all, eventually, return to our childhood dreams. We become alchemists when we honour them.
When your energy is rushed, your content will be too. What you create from burnout rarely resonates.
Brand voice is the ultimate IP. If you’re not codifying your magic, you’re risking irrelevance.
Focus your intent and positioning on the brand you’re building three years from now and watch how quickly the present catches up.
Infertility will break your heart. Creativity will put it back together again.
The cost of not spotlighting your talent is bigger than you. Someone out there is still in the dark, waiting for the light only you can bring. Do it for them and do it for you.
You don’t need to prove your value through constant motion.
Nothing you try to change will stick if you stay stuck in the same tired routines. Hold yourself accountable.
Perfectionism is boring. Soften your grip; nothing breaks when you breathe.
You can’t out-hustle a sleep-deprived mind.
You can’t out-earn what you don’t manage.
The resilience you need to navigate any challenge already exists inside of you. You just need to remember to flex it.
Lean into your cringe. Life’s too short to play it cool: be embarrassingly, gloriously unapologetic.
For many of us, the drive to build a heart-led brand comes from experience, from wanting to create something better than what we went through ourselves.
Storytelling holds the most powerful position in human psychology: it’s how we learn, connect, and take action.
Lead with what’s the best that can happen energy, even when it feels wild. If you’re going to dream, you might as well dream with delusion.
The only real flex in a successful life? Doing what you said you’d do.
And as for number 20 — they’re not wrong when they say building a brand is the best personal development there is.
